Below please see answers to frequently asked questions on the topics of Data and Privacy.
Q: How does Aidentified collect data for its data services?
A: Aidentified is a U.S. based company and collects U.S. data only. Aidentified collects both professional profile information (such as name, title, company, company address and email, employment history) and consumer profile information (such as home address, home email, home phone number, modeled number of people in a household, modeled marital status, home value, if available) to enrich the professional profile information. Aidentified obtains its information primarily from third party content providers who collect both publicly available sources (e.g., SEC filings, websites, publicly available home value information, publicly available professional profile and home address information) and non-publicly available data that was collected on an opt-in or opt-out basis.
Q: What information does Aidentified collect from customers and how is it used?
A: Customers may upload their own customer relationship management (“CRM”) or contact information to our SaaS application while using our application or data services. We also allow users to upload a CSV archive of their first-degree LinkedIn contacts (which LinkedIn permits a user to export as their own data) to the application, and Aidentified does not use any software or extensions to link to the LinkedIn platform in any way. If a customer is using the Aidentified Sidecar Chrome plug-in, the plug-in reads the current URL of the browser, and then delivers insights from our database into the Sidecar window on the right side of the screen. The data elements temporarily “pulled in” from your website browsing results are transmitted to Aidentified for purposes of matching your data against Aidentified’s database and giving you real-time information about people and companies as you use the internet.
For the contact import functionality, Aidentified reads either a CSV file or requests contact integration for matching purposes only, containing Name, Company, Title, Email (if available), Phone Numbers (if available), Connected On Date (for LinkedIn contact import only).
Aidentified does not incorporate any customer information into its database that is provided to us in any Aidentified service. We only use customer information provided to us as long as you are a customer, to either allow you to use the full functionality of our application services (e.g., to provide you with relationship mapping profile connections in our SaaS application), or to enrich your data. Any data imported into our applications or shared with Aidentified for data services purposes belongs to the customer and may be deleted by a customer at any time during the customer’s relationship with Aidentified. This data is neither added to Aidentified’s data sets nor stored by Aidentified when the relationship with the customer ends. Customer data uploaded to our services is automatically deleted after the customer relationship ends in accordance with Aidentified’s internal data retention policies.
